New Operations & Intake Center Opens!

In September 2023 we celebrated the grand opening of our first brick-and-mortar Operations & Intake Center! This milestone represents a significant step forward for our rescue, enabling the organization to provide enhanced support and intake services to animals in need and their fosters and adopters.

The celebrations kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Congressman Jamie Raskin and DC Councilwoman Brianne Nadeau among other DC dignitaries and continued throughout the week honoring our CDCK community. Check out the video and pictures below of the celebrations!

Reaching this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the over 1,800 donors who contributed over $600,00 to the building. That said, the work isn’t done.
